Fuel & Fable Is Now Open — Where Coffee Meets Community, Craft, and Character

After lots of roasting, planning, painting, and pouring, the doors to Fuel & Fable are officially open.

Tucked away on Avon Trading Estate in Christchurch, our space has been built with one goal in mind — to bring together good people, great coffee, and genuine community.

We’re more than a café, and more than a roastery. Fuel & Fable is a place where stories are shared over flat whites, where the morning hum of espresso machines mixes with the sound of engines rolling up outside, and where every cup is roasted right here on-site with care and craft.

Our coffee is lovingly roasted in small batches, celebrating origin and flavour while keeping things approachable — the kind of brew that starts conversations, fuels mornings, and slows you down just enough to savour the moment.

But beyond the coffee, this place is about connection.
It’s about the builders and baristas, the commuters, the cyclists, the riders and drivers — everyone who makes up this little corner of Christchurch. It’s about creating a space where all are welcome, whether you’re here for five minutes or an entire morning.

We’re open Tuesday to Friday, 7am–3pm, serving specialty coffee, sourdough toasties, seasonal soups, and locally sourced bacon buns — and on Saturdays, we shift gears, hosting car and motorcycle meets, events, and our Rev & Roast Coffee Club, bringing together enthusiasts of all things mechanical (and caffeinated).

Fuel & Fable is built on the belief that every great story starts with a coffee — and we can’t wait to share ours with you.
